Production and Distribution of Sweaters for Vulnerable Women

The Production and Distribution of Sweaters for Vulnerable Women project, implemented under Project Reference No.01/KBL/005/EM/KBL/C.22/GWA, was carried out in Kabul with the support of UNHCR. The project was designed as an emergency relief and winterization intervention aimed at addressing the seasonal needs of vulnerable women through the production and distribution of essential winter clothing.Under the project, a total of 6,650 sweaters were produced and distributed to 6,650 vulnerable women in Kabul. The intervention provided beneficiaries with essential winter clothing to improve their protection, comfort, and well-being during the cold season.Project activities included organization and coordination of sweater production, preparation and management of the completed items, identification and organization of targeted beneficiaries, and distribution of the sweaters to the intended recipients. The implementation process focused on ensuring that the required quantity of winter clothing was produced and delivered efficiently and in a timely manner.The project was implemented from 15 December 2001 to 20 January 2002, with a reported project value of 19,173. Through the production and distribution of essential winter clothing, the intervention contributed to addressing the immediate seasonal needs of vulnerable women and reducing their exposure to harsh winter conditions.Overall, the project represented a targeted emergency relief and winterization initiative that combined local production with direct humanitarian assistance. Through the production and distribution of 6,650 sweaters to 6,650 women in Kabul, the project supported the protection and well-being of vulnerable beneficiaries under UNHCR Project Reference No. 01/KBL/005/EM/KBL/C.22/GWA.
